Sri Lanka to win the first ODI against New Zealand:
India, Sri Landa and New Zealand is playing tri nation seires in Sei Lanka. Sri Lanka and New Zealand is playing the first ODI today (8th Sep 2009). In this match sri lanka won the toss and elected to bat, the decision looked bad when the openers and Jayawardena got out for 7 runs, but lower middle order studied the ship and managed to score a decent score of 216\7 in 50 Overs. Samaraweera and mathews scored (104*) and (51). Shane bond and butler took 3 and 2 wickets for New Zealand.
In return New Zealand lost 3 wickets in quick succession for 7 runs. McCullum and Ellott are trying to rebuild New Zealand’s innings. They need good partnership to win the match.
