Feroz shah kotla banned for 12 months

Delhi stadium Feroz shah Kotla is banned for 12 months from conducting a international cricket match, this decision was made because of bad playing conditions. In the last ODI series between India and Sri Lanka fifth match was played in this ground but due to bad cricketing conditions match was abandoned. The pitch was not well maintained as the balls where keeping low and some times it bounces more than normal. Because of this pitch some of the Sri Lankan batsman got injured. Sri Lankan captain Sangakkara called off his players as the pitch is dangerous to play. Later umpires declared the match is called off due to unplayable conditions. ICC questioned BCCI for conducting a international match in a bad pitch, judgment came today saying to ban the stadium for 12 months from conducting international matches. But this does not affect the 2011 world cup schedules.
