Sehwag is the Wisden Cricketer of the year

Indian dashing opener Virender Sehwag is named as the Wisden Cricketer of the year 2009. He won this award two times on a row. This award came into existence at the year 2004; Ricky Pointing is the first person to win this award. Then Spinner Shane Warne and Andrew Flintoff won the awards.
This award is given to Sehwag because of his great show in Test and ODI cricket. In Test cricket he averages 70 with a good strike rate of 108.9; he is averaging 45 with a good strike rate of 136.5 in ODIs. Sehwag outplayed Dilshan and Strauss to win this title for the second time in a row.
